Kate Bateman (writing as K. C. Bateman) wrote her first historical romance in response to a $1 bet with her husband who rashly claimed she'd 'never finish the thing.' She gleefully proved him wrong. Her Regency and Renaissance-era romances all feature her trademark feisty, intelligent heroines, wickedly inappropriate banter, and heroes you want to both strangle and kiss.
When not traveling to exotic locations 'for research,' Kate leads a double life as a fine art appraiser and on-screen antiques expert for several TV shows in the UK, each of which has up to 2.5 million viewers. She splits her time between Illinois and her native England and writes despite three inexhaustible children and a number-loving husband who still owes her that dollar.
Debra is a hybrid romance author with her own publishing company, Belo Dia Publishing Inc. She writes in many genres of fiction and also writes poetry. In her nonfiction freelance work she has interviewed many cover models for Cover Model Corner and the interviews are often featured by Affaire de Coeur Magazine. She was traditionally published in 2008 and has since published historical romance, contemporary romance, Military romantic suspense, futuristic dystopian romance, and fairytale romance. In 2018 her books hit Amazon bestsellers lists.
Debra was first interviewed on WKNO radio and on Fox – 13 TV in 1999, after her first published short story, Vampire From Memphis, was a finalist in the Darrell Awards. The interviews terrified her. She started speaking on author panels and mentoring writers in 2009 after her first novel came out in print and in 2015 earned her CC with Toastmasters. She went on to host her own radio show from 2016 to 2017 and loved every minute of it. Book Lights Radio, part of Readers Entertainment and Circle of Seven was live on blog talk radio every Tuesday night and the tapes are still available online. She enjoys helping authors learn not to be terrified of interviews. For more about Debra visit www.debraparmley.com
Lisa Wells write romantic comedy with enough steam to fog your eyeglasses, your brain, and sometimes your Kindle screen. On the other hands, her eighty-year-old mother-in-law has read Lisa’s steamiest book and lived to offer her commentary. Which went something like this: You used words I’ve never heard of…
Lisa’s the author of the Off The Wall Proposals series from Entangled and is represented by Ann Rose of the Prospect Agency. She teaches on-line classes for Lawson Writer’s Academy.
She lives in Missouri with her husband and slightly-chunky rescue dog. Lisa loves dark chocolate, red wine, and those rare mornings when her skinny jeans fit. Which isn’t often, considering the first two entries on her love-it list.
